SYNTHRO LABS Cold chain · storage & handling
About this resource

Why we publish this, and who writes it

SynthroLabs is an editorial resource on the cold chain for freeze-dried materials. It is published by Synthro Lab LLC, a limited liability company organised under the laws of the United States.

This is a publication, not a shop. Nothing is sold here, no order can be placed here, and nothing on this site is an offer. We are also not a laboratory and not a carrier — the practices described here are those of the industry in general, not services we perform.

Why this exists

The questions worth asking about a temperature-controlled shipment are almost always the same four: what was recorded, from when, by which device, and against which limits. They are easier to answer once, properly and in public, than one conversation at a time.

So the site is written as a reference rather than a catalogue. The position behind it is a simple one: a claim that something travelled cold is worth exactly as much as the record behind it — a logger that sat inside the payload rather than taped to the carton, a recording that started at dispatch rather than somewhere in the middle, and a report that states every excursion with its duration instead of a single reassuring maximum.

What we publish, and what we do not

Everything here is descriptive: what the freeze-drying cycle removes, how a temperature record is built and read, how a temperature-controlled shipment is packed and qualified, and what to inspect before a delivery goes into storage.

We publish no medical, health or lifestyle claims of any kind. We do not describe, recommend or encourage any end use of any material, and we do not give guidance on the selection or preparation of any material. Any figures used in the writing are illustrative examples, not readings from any particular shipment.

Who it is written for

The resource is intended for professional readers aged 21 and over.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, out of date, or reads as more certain than the evidence supports, tell us and we will correct it. Handling practice and the standards behind it change, and a reference that is not maintained stops being a reference.
